We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Arohaina Owen to the role of Kaiarataki Vision Mātauranga – Ko Ngā Kai Whai Painga HVN.
Arohaina’s career to date has been in Financial Services with her most recent role being Principal, Head of Intrafund Advice (superannuation) for the global corporate company Aon. She holds a Masters in Financial Planning as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy and Māori business, and is looking forward to continuing to grow her mātauranga experiences in this new role. You may recognise Arohaina from her previous mahi with Kaitahi where she was the Working Group Lead. The team were fortunate to receive HVN funding for their innovative award winning product of frozen smoothy drops.
Arohaina brings strong business acumen and leadership skills to HVN , which will be of great value to us in supporting our Māori business partners, researchers and rangatahi. Arohaina is Pookai Aronui (Director) for Te Pataka o Rauru and Kii Tahi Ltd, investment arms of Southern Taranaki iwi, Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi. We warmly welcome Arohaina to the HVN team.
