Plant & Food Research on behalf of the High-Value Nutrition National Science Challenge, would like to invite you to join us in a series of short virtual presentations to hear the latest consumer insights coming out of the HVN Challenge.

Presentations will be intentionally short, around 20-25 minutes, with the focus then shifting to the attendees. Each session will conclude with an interactive Q&A opportunity, where attendees are encouraged to interrogate the researchers to gain additional insights specific to their business needs.

Chinese Attitudes to Gut Health | Tuesday 9 June 2020 | 2:00pm
This presentation revisits consumer insights gathered in China in 2017. Our researchers conducted in-home interviews and focus groups in Shanghai, among consumers who self-identified as having gut health issues. We present the learnings about their attitudes and behaviors in relation to managing their gut health issues through diet.

Our researchers conducted qualitative interviews and focus groups in Shanghai (2017), among consumers who self-identified as have metabolic health issues. We present the learnings about their attitudes and behaviors in relation to managing their metabolic health issues through diet.

Chinese Doctors Attitudes to Diet and Health | Tuesday 16 June 2020 | 2:00pm
In July 2018 our researchers spoke to doctors in China about their observations of their patients’ health and dietary behaviours, with particular emphasis on immune, gut and metabolic health issues. We spoke to doctors trained in both western and traditional Chinese medicine approaches.

Social Media in China | Thursday 18 June 2020 | 2:00pm
We must truly understand the Chinese consumer and their thought processes to be able to succeed in this market, whether it’s online or offline. In 2019 our researchers attended the CHina CHat, China’s biggest WeChat and digit marketing conference, in this session they share what they learnt.
