When we moved into Tranche 2 of the HVN Challenge Dr Kevin Marshall signalled his intent to step down as Chair of the Industry Advisory Panel after one year. That time has now come and so we bid a fond farewell to Kevin in this role. He has been with the Challenge since our inception and has made a very strong contribution enabling us to work effectively with industry and head towards success in our mission. Kevin has been very effective in the role of Chair and we thank him very much. We have no doubt we will continue to see Kevin and have his ongoing support of the Challenge.
The Board have approved the appointment of Craig Armstrong (NZTE) to the role of Chair effective immediately. Craig has also been a strong contributor to the Challenge and it is also a reflection of Kevin’s leadership that we have been able to appoint an existing Industry Advisory Panel member. Craig brings strong leadership and governance experience, as well as in depth knowledge of the New Zealand food and beverage sectors. We congratulate Craig on his appointment.
