In an article in this week’s National Business Review, Dr Denise Conroy, Plant & Food senior scientist and HVN Consumer Insights lead discusses how her research with HVN has sought to understand how Chinese consumers with health concerns think about food, and shopping for food. The main concerns that Chinese consumers have around food are in relation to metabolic health (such as type 2 diabetes and obesity), gut health and immunity.

Denise is on HVN’s Science Leadership team and as PI of the Consumer Insights programme, she has extensive experience in exploring how Chinese consumers construe the relationships between food and health.
