HVN Board member Chris Downs is now President Elect at IFT

Congratulations to HVN Board member Chris Downs, who is now President Elect and Board Chair at the Institute of Food Technologists. Chris is the General Manager, Crop and Food Science, at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Queensland, Australia. The IFT is a community of professionals and students passionate about the essential role science and innovation play in ensuring that the global food system is safe, nutritious, and sustainable. Of his recent appointment, Chris said: “It’s an honour to be selected for the role.”
